Ingredients

– California Prunes – Boiling Water – Cranberries – All-Purpose Flour – Baking Powder – Baking Soda

Place the brown sugar and the granulated sugar in a large bowl. Zest the orange directly into the sugar until you have what appears to be two teaspoons.

Step 1

Use your fingers to rub the zest into the sugar. Zesting the orange directly into the sugar ensures that you capture the oils that are released when the oranges are zested.

Step 2

Add the eggs to the sugar and whisk together until well combined and the sugar starts to dissolve. Add 1/3 cup of prune puree and whisk to combine.

Step 3

Next add the melted butter, whisk and then add the sour cream and orange juice. Whisk all the ingredients until thoroughly combined.
