ORANGE AND CHOCOLATE ALMOND TART

CHOCOLATE TART CRUST INGREDIENTS

Orange and Almond Filling Ingredients

Slice the oranges and set them on a paper towel for 1 hour to dry out before assembling the tart

Place the ingredients for the tart crust in a bowl and whisk together

Add the hot melted butter and mix together until no bits of flour are visible

Press the dough into a 9-inch tart pan and make sure the sides and bottom are even thickness

In a medium bowl whisk together the dry ingredients for the almond filling

Add the egg and beat with a hand held mixer until the ingredients are combined and the mixture looks creamy

Assemble the tart - fill the chocolate tart shell with almond cream and then arrange the orange slices on top

Bake the tart at 350°F for 75 minutes until just the center is slightly jiggly

Let the tart cool to room temperature and serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to serve
