This pear crisp is a delicious combination of Bartlett pears and a cinnamon pecan streusel.  It's the perfect fall dessert.

INGREDIENTS

Bartlett Pears All-Purpose Flour Brown Sugar Granulated Sugar Ground Cinnamon Ground Cardamom Unsalted Butter Toasted Pecans

Place the all-purpose flour, brown sugar, white sugar, cinnamon and toasted pecans.  Whisk to combine.

Add the cold butter to the dry ingredients and cut the butter into the dry ingredients

Use Bartlett or Bosc pears that are still firm.  Use a spoon to scoop out the center before peeling.

Peel the pears, cut them in half and cut them into large chunks. Place them in a large bowl.

Place the chopped pears in a bowl.  Toss the pears with lemon juice.  Add sugar and tapioca and gently mix them in

Place the pears in baking dish and spread the streusel over the pears. Bake at 350°F for 30-35 minutes.

When the pear crisp is done the filling will be bubbly and the topping will be slightly browned

Serve the pear crisp while it's still warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
